  • This course is designed to help the shooter who has purchased a Red Dot Sight or is transitioning from iron sights to the Red Dot Sight (RDS) on their pistol.
  • This is a beginner course starting with a discussion on the Red Dot Sight, how it works, the benefits, and how to acquire the dot accurately and consistently.
  • This is a full day of information on the Red Dot Sight mechanics paired with rounds down range to drive home the mechanics and accuracy of this shooting platform.
  • Come out and build upon your confidence, comfortability, and accuracy with your Red Dot Sight for pistol!

*Pistol Must Have Red Dot Sight Mounted*

*Students must be able to demonstrate basic firearms safety and competence*

Course Includes:

  • Mechanics of the RDS
  • Focal Plane (Threat Focused)
  • Natural Wobble
  • Zeroing
  • Sight Picture
  • Follow Through
  • Dot Failure

Required Items:

  • Pistol with at least 02 magazines
  • Red Dot Sight (Mounted on Pistol)
  • Red Dot Sight adjustment tool (if you lost the tool, we should have one to work with it)
  • 400 Rounds of Ammunition
  • Eye and Ear Protection (Electronic Earmuffs Recommended)
    • [Will have Eye and Ear Protection for purchase if need be]
  • Holster for Pistol (Inside the Waistband or Outside the Waistband)
    • Students will draw from the holster.
  • Magazine pouch for extra pistol magazines
  • Ball Cap Recommended (Protection from expended brass and sun)
